He was born in Kansas in 1974, the son of a paraplegic mother whom doctors said
was never "supposed" to be able to bear children after a childhood auto accident.
He was placed in gifted programs from kindergarten until 12th grade.

In one gifted program during elementary school, he learned self-study techniques
such as relaxation, visualization, ideomotor response, and biofeedback. In high
school, his senior AP English teacher introduced him to philosophical and
metaphysical writings such as Robert Pirsig, Jack Kerouac, and Alan Watts.

He was baptized as a Christian at the age of 19 and married at 20. While married,
he studied the Bible and attended various churches. After earning his bachelor's
degree, he moved to Florida to teach high school. While there, his first marriage
ended, prompting him to begin the writings that became the book Revolutionary
Spirituality: Awakening to Your True Self.

During this time, he began his relationship with his current wife, Joy, and--after
decades of seeking--finally achieved enlightenment. He seeks to share what he has
learned with others who are ready to take the next step on their spiritual path.
